Partial Ceramic Restorations Anno 2027: Inlays, onlays & overlays with professor Marco Gresnigt on 22 & 23 April (DUTCH)
Content
VZW Rest. THK& Imp. is organizing this two-day course at the Icarus Academy on April 22 & 23 — 2027 with live patient treatment.
When do we choose a classic full crown? When is an adhesive-bonded restoration preferred? What is clinically & scientifically relevant? What do we do with non-vital teeth? When should we cover the cusps?
During this 2‑day training the indirect adhesive posterior restoration for the treatment of vital & non-vital teeth will be discussed in detail. In the afternoon, there will also be a live demo with a patient, where all practical steps are shown under a microscope. This course is intended for both dentists with little experience with these restorations and more experienced clinicians who wish to further improve their protocol with the latest scientific evidence.
Registration
To participate in this course you can fill in the digital registration form. Your registration is only complete after payment of the course fee.
This registration is for the 2‑day course with live demo including a diner in Antwerp.
On Thursday evening we organize a dinner with the participants and organization at a nice location (walking distance) in Antwerp with the participants and organisation.

Part I: Thursday 22 April 2027
The clinical relevance of classic crowns is being closely examined. In modern dentistry we aim for preservation of remaining tooth tissue. Traditional cementation of crowns is being replaced by adhesive bonding to the tooth. Full zirconium crowns and preparations are largely being replaced by porcelain partial restorations. Which materials are preferred here and why? How can we isolate the teeth with rubber dam in a predicatble way? What are the guidelines for the preparation shape? What is the correct pre-treatment for the tooth and restoration and what is the best bonding method to guarantee long-term success? For non-vital teeth, we are using less classic core build-ups and posts and instead we use completely different techniques here in which the post build-up and crown are replaced by ‘endocrowns’. The various procedures are explained theoretically in each case, followed by a live treatment under microscope. This allows the participants to follow the patient treatment step by step.
